Changing Course with Confidence!
One of the most exciting uses of the Gallup’s CliftonStrengths® assessment is with People in Transition; high school students, college graduates, mothers returning to the workforce, young professionals or not-so-young professionals looking to change direction in their careers.
I specialize in helping people in transition focus on those career paths that will be most rewarding to them and in which they can achieve the most success.
Because everyone’s needs are different, I do not use a cookie-cutter approach. Some clients need help with resumes, or their LinkedIn Profile, others need help with interviewing and networking — these specific aspects of job search I offer in coaching. I also offer a career aptitude assessment for high school and college students. The use of an aptitude test gives the best-fit careers, giving a student the confidence and data to make an informed decision about their futures.
As we work together in individual coaching sessions, we will take a close look at your past successes in a new way; with a new set of eyes, so to speak. You may discover that you have an innate talent or skill that you’ve avoided using in the past and how it can be ‘turbo-charged’ to take you to an entirely different level of achievement!
Perhaps you’re a career professional in one area but find that it no longer fulfills your personal and professional goals. Maybe you’re trying to choose between two career paths that interest you and you need help in determining which one of them affords you the best opportunity for success. Or you might be re-entering the workforce after a period of time raising your family and the process seems daunting.
I am fortunate to have a staff member devoted to resumes. Joan having spent her career as a Career Development Coach, I feel so lucky to have her on my team. She understands the importance of targeting your resume. Targeting your resume shows recruiters how your background applies to positions. Keywords is another important factor for you to consider when writing your resume. Keywords are descriptors of skills and attributes that industry insiders typically use to describe themselves and their profession.
I will help you find purpose and meaning in your choices through individual coaching, so that you can approach your time of transition with confidence! And most of all you will be prepared to sit across from a hiring manager.
